Eric Henderson in Concert | Saturday, Jan 4 | 4pm (doors @ 3:30)
A Contemporary Classical Concert Experience Laguna Beach welcomes home one of its own. World-renowned concert guitarist Eric Henderson, one of the very few guitarists personally chosen and trained by Andrés Segovia, returns to the Laguna Beach Cultural Arts Center for an intimate solo performance that spans classical mastery, cinematic surf soundscapes, and original contemporary compositions. This immersive evening will feature: · Eric’s original surf-inspired and Spaghetti Western–influenced compositions · Selections from the classical guitar masters · New works from an upcoming album currently in progress “I feel the Laguna Beach Cultural Arts Center is the perfect venue for a small audience to actually feel how the guitar resonates,” Eric says. “I’m putting the finishing touches on a new album and am excited to share some of this new music.” Eric’s story is as extraordinary as his playing. Recognized at a young age for his rare musical voice, he was selected by Andrés Segovia as one of only three students to study privately with him — an honor almost unheard of in the classical guitar world. With the support of the Laguna Beach community, Eric traveled abroad to study intensively with Segovia, an experience that shaped a lifetime of artistry. Now, he brings that legacy home. This concert is designed for focused listening — a room where every nuance of tone, touch, and resonance can be felt. It’s not just a performance, but a shared musical experience between artist and audience. A rare chance to hear a true master — up close, in his hometown.
