To allow for setup and ensure public safety, Monument Point and nearby areas of Heisler Park will be closed all day on July 4. The City\u2019s Fire, Police, Marine Safety, and Public Works Departments will have increased staffing for the holiday, including fire investigators and an additional ambulance on duty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Starting at approximately 5:00 p.m., the portion of Heisler Park from Myrtle Street to the Rockpile Beach stairs at Jasmine Street will be closed to the public. After the show, expect heavy traffic, especially on Laguna Canyon Road and Coast Highway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>For traffic and emergency updates, sign up for Nixle alerts by texting 92651 to 888-777.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>Reminder: Fireworks Are Illegal in Laguna Beach<\/strong><br>The use of any fireworks, including \u201cSafe and Sane\u201d fireworks and sparklers, is strictly prohibited in Laguna Beach. The Police, Fire, and Marine Safety Departments will have extra officers on duty to enforce fireworks laws.<br>Anyone caught with or using fireworks\u2014including firecrackers, bottle rockets, mortars, Roman candles, or aerial fireworks\u2014may face a misdemeanor, a fine of up to $1,000, and\/or six months in jail.<br>To report illegal fireworks, call the City\u2019s non-emergency hotline at (949) 497-0701.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>Important Reminders: Parks and Beach Ordinances<\/strong><br>To help keep Laguna Beach safe, clean, and enjoyable, the public is reminded to follow all City park and beach regulations:<br><br>-No fireworks of any kind<br><br>-No alcohol on the beaches<br><br>-No smoking in public places<br><br>-No single-use plastics on beaches, trails, or in parks<br><br>-No private drone use from Main Beach to Crescent Bay<br><br>-No canopies, umbrellas, tents, or covers over 6 feet in height or wider than 6 feet square on beaches or in parks; no more than one side may be enclosed<br><br>-No portable barbecues on City beaches or in parks<br><br>-No dogs allowed on City beaches from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., June 15 \u2013 September 10<br><br>-All OC Parks trails close at sunset<br><br>-The Laguna Beach Police, Fire, and Marine Safety Departments will be strictly enforcing all City ordinances to protect public safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><br>Transit Services on a Modified Schedule<br>City trolley and transit services will operate on a modified schedule for the holiday:<\/strong><br><br>-Coastal Route: 9:00 a.m. \u2013 7:00 p.m.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Canyon Route: 8:30 a.m. \u2013 7:00 p.m.<br><br>-Laguna Beach Local On-Demand: 9:00 a.m. \u2013 6:00 p.m.<br>Normal transit schedules will resume on Saturday, July 5.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Condor Squadron Fly Over in Laguna Beach<\/strong><br>The Condor Squadron will fly over Laguna Beach at 5:45 p.m. on July 4. This group of WWII-era pilots flies vintage AT-6 aircraft in formation to honor veterans and preserve aviation history.<br><br>The City thanks residents and visitors for their cooperation in keeping Laguna Beach safe and enjoyable this Independence Day.
